Every month I draw tarot and oracle cards to predict the advice we need to hear for the next month. The message is intended for everyone reading this post (including myself). They’re always eye-opening and fun for me to make. Let me know if it sheds any light on something you're dealing with.

Lovely sunflower,
Sometimes we prevent love from flowing into our lives because we have created a wall of self-protection. From our side of the wall we’re protected from heartache, from failure and from making a fool of ourselves. But we’re also inevitably missing out on all the beauty.
There’s something within us that wants to sprout. A seed is in a self- protective mode, but when we add water to a seed it releases these walls and starts to sprout and create more nutrients that we can absorb. It doesn’t look like a plant from the start, but with water and sunlight, it can transform itself into another lifeform.
There’s something about noticing what others have accomplished and regaining trust in ourselves that we can be one of them too. We neglect ourselves when we don't hear other people out. Nothing new will happen on our side of the wall. The right people are out there, but only if we let them come into our lives. No matter whether it is a friend, a business partner or simply an inspirational person.
When we get too lost into self preservation, we tend to forget how beautiful life could be, in all of its colors and vitality. It's because we have removed ourselves from that perception of reality. We cannot see it and therefore it does not exist in our minds. That’s why it’s so hard to evolve out of that place because we simply don’t get the point of doing so. The beauty on the other side is not currently available to us in our own minds.
But this is a wake-up call to question if there's anything else out there. And the cards show me that it’s probably more beautiful than we think. Because the only thing that limits us is our own minds and what we tell ourselves every day.
Change doesn’t have to be an awful experience. The cards ask us to take it easy on ourselves and open up to new possibilities in a way that brings us joy and peace. The metaphor about a seed turning into a plant and needing water and sunlight to grow can be taken literally as well. Harnessing the energy of spring and giving ourselves an adequate amount of water and spending time in the sun can be a good next step on our journeys. That can allow us to open up to the right inspiration. Letting people into our lives and gathering inspiration from them, realizing that we too can evolve into something else just as so many other people have. In order for us to do so, we need to tell the seed inside ourselves that it’s safe to grow.
Opening up our hearts to just a seed of hope, faith and love as the greenery is coming alive in nature. I believe that’s the ultimate way of living with nature and the seasons. It’s not just about the food, the holidays or the focus of our minds, it’s about feeling with the energy.
I think it's funny that I decided to switch up the cards I’m using in this reading since it was all about welcoming change into our lives. I can really sense the energy of spring in these cards. Let’s use this transformative energy in the best way for all of life. Let’s enjoy the water, the sunshine and take it easy on ourselves.
